The movie that all Dinosaur Sentai fan has been waiting, the cross-over between the ridiculous Red Ranger focus Sentai, Daigo Sentai Kiryuger (probably the most honest title I can think for this series) and the most hated Sentai season among the Sentai Purist, Tokumei Sentai Go-Busters. So how does this annual cross-over look like??? Is it a disaster or is it a mission complete??? Find out on my review of Zyuden Sentai Kiryu, wait sorry, Kyoryuger Vs Go-Busters.
Thought: Since the teaser and the confirmation from Reiko Chiba/Ptera Ranger Mei herself about the cameo of Zyuranger and Abaranger in this movie, I had to admit I was filled with excitement, however after seeing the movie I strongly believe that the cameo is useless and even though the movie is supposedly about the dinosaur sentai, the true star of this movie, is without a doubt the Tokumei Sentai Go-Busters. Only a true Sentai Purist would deny this fact.
Pro: Like I said the true star is the Go-Busters, the Go-Busters actor really give all they had in this movie, every scene that they appear literally make me forget that this is a cross-over movie, the last good bye between Jin and the Go-Busters is great and the reason on how he come back, well literally he didn't come back alive, is nicely done and I had to say it is plausible considering Jin is a genius, he has stay on the hyper dimension and likely has created the Anti-Vaglass just in case if the Vaglass did return after they defeat. His 'death' in this movie for me is beautiful and it is important for me since to me the dead should stay dead, I'm looking at you Ucchy. The cameo of Geki and Ryoga is an OK in my book since they are essentially important for the plot, seeing Babel Attack once more really bring back the nostalgic to Zyuranger and Mighty Morphin fan.
Con: There are not enough epic J moment in this movie, Jin scene is to short. Reiko Chiba or the other Zyuranger excluding Geki didn't appear physical in this movie. No epic team live roll-call and perhaps the most notable flaw is the Kyoryuger, even the almighty King, is practically useless in this movie, screw that I willingly to admit that the entire Dinosaur Sentai is useless except for the last battle excluding the mecha fight. Why you ask, well the way I see it: The Zyuranger, minus Geki, and Abaranger seem to got beaten before the movie, the Kyoryuger got beaten, brain wash, beaten again, summon they mecha and didn't no any damage to the final boss.
Overall: I have no idea what to say, I was waiting like crazy for this movie and when it come out I was disappointed. Even with the cameo of Zyuranger and Abaranger can't shake this disappointed feeling. However it's not all that bad some scene are good and I say it all thank to the Go-Busters cause without them this cross-over would be a failure, hell even my friend who was a Go-Busters hater had to admit that the Go-Busters did a really good job on this movie. For this movie I had to give 4/10.
